Went to the National Trust property at Shugborough on Sunday. In between the rain and bright sun we had a great day. The highlight of my day was watching the Honey Bees working in the walled garden. I managed to get some really good digital pictures, which I'm poutting on our website!!, of Honey Bees on a thistle.
It was great to see the Bees busily working the renovated new garden.
Shugborough is well worth a visit, the mansion house and gardens are really nice but theres the added attractions of craft shops, (woodworker, glassmaker, candlemaker and a farm with courtyard and a nice tower to see. Theres loads of space to walk (when its not raining) and some very nice tea rooms.
Shugborough is not far from Stafford, about five miles east of Stafford in fact. The driveway up to the car parking is impressive and from that moment on just gets better.
I am gpoing to upload all the Shugborough photos to the website in the next few days.
Enjoy thye summer, enjoy your Beekeeping and keep safe.
